Inventory valuation…

As a bean counter, numbers are my jam [no, bean jam is not a thing… I don’t think 🤔😆]. Anyways, when studying the field of Accounting, we are taught about the good ole Balance Sheet that reports the Assets, Liabilities, and Owner’s Equity of an organization. If the entity is a product based business, there is a process to conduct a valuation of the business product inventory. This process is very critical to ensure the worth of the organization is accurately represented. There are two primary methods of the product inventory valuation process:
The Last-In, First-Out (LIFO) method, which assumes that the last unit to arrive in inventory or more recent is sold first.
The First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method, which assumes that the oldest unit of inventory is sold first.
Well, fortunately for us, this worldly value calculation does not apply to the body of Christ (Isa55:8). Unlike the world, every single person has great, yet equal (Rom2:11), value (Matt6:26). Each person who confesses Jesus as Lord (Rom10:9-10), is a part of the inventory in the body of Christ that angels rejoice over (Luk15:10). God is able to use each person simultaneously (Act2:17-18), irrespective of age, gender, nationality, or even when they came to the faith. Whether we came into the body of Christ recently or long ago, we were each given our respective tasks that beholds a portion of the value on Team Jesus (1Cor12:12) and we are all sent out on assignment (Matt28:19).
God always had a plan for us (Jer29:11), and our value is not measured from the moment we repented from our wicked ways (2Chron7:14) rather it is derived from the price that He paid to save us from our wicked ways (Joh3:16-17). It is His love that covers us (1Pet3:8) and presents our value as pure and blameless before God (1Cor1:30, Col1:22).
The fact is this, Jesus was, is, and will always be (Heb13:8) the greatest asset on the Kingdom Balance Sheet (Philip2:9). His blood (Heb13:12) paid for the liability of our sins once and for all (Heb9:11-28). God receives the equity being the owner of ALL things (Jer51:19) as He receives each of us unto Himself stating, “well done, My good and faithful servant…” (Matt25:23).

Awesome analogy on the valuation of assets! God bless 🙏
